MODERN SCIENCE CAN FIX YOUR BRAIN—A NEUROSCIENTIST EXPLAINS HOW

If you wake up at 2 or 3 a.m., struggle with anxiety, brain fog, or chronic stress, your nervous system may be stuck in survival mode.

Dr. Daniel Pompa sits down with neuroscientist Dr. Patrick Porter to explore how brain training, light, sound, breathing, and better recovery can help change unhealthy patterns. They break down why daytime stress can disrupt sleep, how breathing can shift your state, and what different brainwave patterns mean for focus, relaxation, learning, and recovery.

They also discuss deep sleep, HRV, burnout, sauna and cold exposure, and why a short reset can sometimes be more effective than pushing through exhaustion.

If you want better sleep, lower stress, sharper focus, and stronger recovery, this episode is worth hearing.

Subscribe for more conversations on brain health and root cause wellness, share this with someone who needs it, and leave a review with the symptom you want to solve first.

SPEAKER_00

Number one thing you notice when you get a heart attack is you're dead.

Dr Pompa

You and I have something in common. We were both thought to be dumbasses in second grade.

SPEAKER_00

I tell people it's the Microsoft fix. Your computer isn't working, what do you do? Your tech person's gonna say, Did you restart it? Because when you restart it, you have a base operating system. Where we measured the brains of autistic children. Most of them are missing alpha. I mean, like chronically. They only have 0 to 1%. When we took them through the training in 30 days, when the group got to about 23% alpha, 90% of them started speaking. Let me tell you what those medicines are doing. They might be helping you get through the symptoms. Just because you worked on the symptoms doesn't mean you solved the problem.

Dr Pompa

Wait till you see this episode of the Dr. Pompa podcast. It's going to be one of the most shared shows, and there's a reason for that. Well, if you have anxiety, if you wake up in the middle of the night, maybe you can't get to sleep, pain. Oh, even weight loss. This device on my head? Yeah, well, absolutely could be the answer. Well, I'm here with a neuroscientist, Dr. Patrick Porter, who is going to share information I know you've never heard before, a solution you've never heard before. And by the way, this is nothing new. He developed the first light sound device to balance our bodies and health all the way back in 1989. But I just want to introduce you to the man and get to the conversation because it's life-changing.

Why Stress Becomes A Biology Problem

Dr Pompa

Thank you. Well, welcome, Dr. Patrick Porter. Welcome to the Dr. Pompa podcast. Okay, what am I doing with this? Well, I am listening to some really incredible voices in my head, and I'm visualizing some incredible lights all the way back in 1989. You developed the first sound and light device that changed the brain. I think it was called MC Squared. Am I right? That's right. Yeah. Okay. I want to start right here. How can sound and light change somebody's brain? Meaning you have the person out there right now watching this that has anxiety. They're waking up at 2 or 3 a.m. in the morning with racing thoughts. Maybe they can't even get to bed. Okay. You say that that's a brain wiring problem, not a brain problem. Right. And you can fix it with these devices. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Tell me. We have great results. We have 72 peer-reviewed journals that have been published in PubMed. So I'm not asking anybody to believe me today. This is science. Yeah. Save that for Sunday or Wednesday Bible class. This is what we're what we're talking about here is every every cell of your body has something called a mirror neuron. And its whole job is to evaluate your environment internally and externally and make changes to your biology. This is something we now know. MIT about 20 weeks ago said every DNA pair in your body rebraids every 40 seconds based on everything, based on your communication with yourself, the food you eat, the water you drink, the room you're on, so mold could influence your own. Yeah, exactly.

Dr Pompa

My my expertise is how toxins change that for the worse. Yes. And then we have to back that out. However, your thoughts, which we have about 80,000 a day, 60,000 maybe negative, right? Right. Can change that and turn on bad genes. Am I right?

SPEAKER_00

And it's and it all starts with something called the electron transport chain. So when somebody says That's how you make energy, no? That's how you make everything. Yeah. So when you go and look on YouTube how a baby first starts, you know, the little sperm comes to the egg and there's this light. That's when the electron transport chain started and it doesn't stop until you die, right? Yeah. So that transaction, the chemical system follows the electrical system. So number one, if you look at life as a threat, they know it down-regulates your DNA, right down to the base pair. But if you look at life as a challenge, then your body actually upregulates. So you show up in that experience with your best DNA.

Dr Pompa

Your challenge is good. If you perceive life as a challenge and hey, I'm going to do well. This is a challenge. I'm going to, you know, really conquer the challenge. Or, oh my God, I might die. Look, I teach something called a cellular danger response. And how do you think you're going to die? When your body thinks it's going to die, it goes into a survival mode. Thyroid function goes, hormone function goes, brain function, I mean anxiety, da da da da da. And I'm like, well, that's a cellular problem. People, because everyone tells these people, you're just stressed out. You're just stressed out. But what you're saying is your body, you're literally thoughts can put you in this response. Right.

SPEAKER_00

So that's what our whole program together we did. Yeah, by the way, you'll hear about that. Yeah, we did. The reality is that every cell is breathing right now. It's respirating. Yeah. Sometimes it's respirating energy and transmitting light energy in the form of a 10 nanometer light that has codes in it. They've actually proven that now. It's not just light. And so if the cells are compressed, you know, there's a fight or flight everybody talks about, but nobody talks about the freeze response. So when you have that fear, your body goes into the freeze response. And what are you going to do? You're going to play dead. So every cell of your body is going to do that. So but if you face it as a challenge, you go, wow, I'm ready for that. Yeah. So fight. Yeah. Yeah, flight, run, but no one talks about freeze. Right.

Dr Pompa

Right. But that's where most people are.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Most people are stuck in that. I call it sympathetic lock because they don't know how to get out of that lock. So what BrainTap does, because everything in your environment, I mean everything, the table, the mics, you, me, we're all teaming with energy and vibrating. We're vibrating with certain frequencies. In fact, they now can, uh, like the Russians with our technology called neurocheck, we can measure the frequency response of every cell in the body. It's already known, it's mapped. Now, what changes is the way you interact with it, your, your, your thoughts, your beliefs, your all these things. But the reality is the biological system of ours hasn't changed in 200,000 years. And our brain isn't created for the life we're living. So, what we need to do is we have we need periods of de-stressing. Our body can handle a lot of stress. But if it never gets a chance to shut down, reboot, rebuild, neuroplasticity doesn't happen in the middle of the fight. It happens when you review over what just happened.

Dr Pompa

And neuroplasticity is basically how your brain rewires itself.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Okay. Yeah. If you don't for better or for worse, for better or for worse. So we have neuropruning, which the moment you were born, I'm sorry to tell you, you're the smartest you're ever going to be. You were, you know, you were 18.1 volts. Yeah. Your brain could be, everything about you can be measured in voltage. So if the cells lose voltage, you lose health. So what happens is when we bring light in through the eyes and the ears, is, and we could go into detail on that if we want later. But what happens is the hemoglobin absorbs that light just like it would with a laser, carries that that photaic information into the brain. When it finds that part of the brain where the mitochondria is about to die, called apoptosis, it will absorb that light energy. It will kick up and then the Krebs cycle starts, the little turbines that make ATP, it just starts building more energy. So as you progressed in age, usually about 21 to 25, your brain's going to regulate about 10.1. It's going to remain there until something happens and you die, or trauma or toxins get the brain to start slowing down. Those are the things that happen. So what we're going to do is we're going to feed the brain what it needs to do.

Dr Pompa

So literally, it's kind of like your batteries are draining, right? Your energy, your energy output is drain diminishing.

SPEAKER_00

Right. You've heard the expression, I had children, and you say, My kids are too tired to sleep. Well, most adults are too tired to think because thinking takes a lot of energy. In fact, they've now proven that when you're asleep, you're actually better at thinking than you are when you're awake. Your brain does more neurological activity. But if you're not getting those periods of rest, you're not sleeping well, your brain's not able to do that neuroplasticity that's necessary, then it does what's called neuropruning because it says, look, we could do this on 10.1 volts, but let's say it goes down to seven volts. We know in our study with uh that the brain will start to do to display dementia symptoms.

Dr Pompa

So what you're saying is if the brain can't wire itself for success for better, then it literally starts to prune back. Yes. Right. You know, I I guess it's like a gardener with the flowers or the bush going, okay, uh we the growth's not going to happen. We start to see things die off. Right. So then it the gardener starts to prune. Yes. Your body's going through the same process, right? But the problem is with the pruning, at first, it doesn't look good. It doesn't, you know, and there's some problems. So as the body prunes, you can have a diminished effect, correct?

SPEAKER_00

Right. You know, think of it like when you have a thought, let's say I wanted to yell across the gymnasium. When I'm younger, I can scream across the gymnasium, everybody hears me. But as you get a little older, I'm like, I'm trying to get my voice over there, but I don't have enough energy to project my voice to the other side. Your cells are communicating all the time. Yeah, nothing happens without the brain saying so, no matter what you do in the chemical system. So that's exactly right. If you don't have the right information, which a lot of people don't have today because of being sold things or told things on social media or wherever by instant heroes, you know, that they come out with something, they don't have the reality that, hey, when you match up proper thought with proper nutrition and proper action, your body knows how to heal itself.

Dr Pompa

And by the way, I have a unique thought right now. I I feel like um functional medicine has taken a little bit of a wrong turn in gut health. Or, you know, meaning it's said now, like the gut is everything, your immune system, how your brain, blah, blah, blah. It's the bacteria in your gut that, you know, you can't do this without them. I make a different argument than that. I believe that your brain controls the bacteria. And then it's the communication. Because if you take those same bacteria and put them in a petri dish, they're dumb, they do nothing. Right. They're just bacteria trying to survive a day. Right. Right. But you put them with RNA intelligence, it's this, yes, they do communicate. Yes, you make certain hormones with, you know, these communities, but again, it's this that controls it. So again, it's it's our thoughts, it's our it's our brain that really controls every bit of health in our body, from how our hormones work. I mean, you name it. We can control it with the brain, we can heal it with the brain. The brain is what two cells came together, back back to what you said, and they started forming. The first thing to form is the brain. A little tail grew off of it called the spinal cord. Every organ grew from that, and then we developed us.

SPEAKER_00

And that's exactly how communication starts today, every day. So, but I believe you need to think of the three brains, and they all have to work in synchronicity. So you have you have these three board members, and everybody's trying to say, no, it's this one, it's this one. No, nothing happens without your heart because the heart is is beaming actually two times the information to the rest of the body than the rest of the body is deemed to the heart. So, but we can function without our brain and our head if we have a spinal cord injury, the the digestive system. So, I actually think the gut is the number two brain, the heart's number one. Yeah, yeah. And then number two, number three, I kind of think of it as a Google tablet. And and I love MIT because they come up with all these scientific studies, and they showed that this brain actually is like a transmitter and receiver of information. So you set the tone of the communication, like we select Keener 14 or whatever the radio is. Yeah. So then now we bring in those information, and I like people to think about this. We're all frequency. What do you frequently see? High frequency people see high frequency food, high frequency activities, high frequency uh books and seminars, low frequency people see low frequency food, low frequency people, low frequency activities, and then they wonder why they're getting this low frequency lifestyle. You have to adjust your frequency and realize that life happens through you, not to you.

Dr Pompa

So

What BrainTap Actually Does

Dr Pompa

let's stop right there because this is what you've created. Yep. Back in 1989, the first one, light changes everything you're talking about, and so does the what we're putting in the sound, the voices, the messages. Yes, right. So wavelength, light, wavelength, sound. And with that, you're able to change the brain. And in short, we're gonna tell you how to do it because you're talking about like 10 minutes every day, yeah, or even every other day, because you say even a 10-minute session can change your brain for 72 hours. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's our we have an NIH study with a hundred a thousand six hundred people now. We keep adding to it, but just one session, 27% neurological improvement. Now the nervous system reboots or resets every 72 hours. So we have to interrupt that pattern, just like going to the gym. Right. One time to the gym isn't gonna make all that much difference. Keep doing it. Yeah. And the whole thing is about what is your lifestyle? What are you intentionally doing for recovery? Because if you don't intentionally recover, you're gonna intentionally stress out because that's what life. I mean, life. I always tell people, think about it like this. Every morning you get up and you wake up and you're looking down the track and you realize you're in the 100-yard dash, you look over the starter and you say, Hey, I didn't plan, the butt gun goes off. You're now racing, you don't make it to the finish line. The next morning you go to you go to sleep that night, you went through the race, but you went to sleep. You wake up next morning, you're looking down the track again. You look over the starter, say, I didn't trade for bang, goes off. Pretty soon you got to realize that life is gonna be lived tomorrow, whether you plan for it or not. Yeah. So start planning today for the life you want to live tomorrow. And part of that is that visualization you're talking about. Our brain doesn't do what we intend. You know, the they uh they always say the road to hell is paved with those great intentions. But if you can, if you can galvanize your intention with your actions, that's why in the Bible they say faith without works is dead. You know, you can't just have the meditation in the you've got to take the action steps. And when when you get the physiology and the neurology working together, you've got this powerful force that works with you instead of against you.

Dr Pompa

Yeah. And that's what this that's what this does. We use this in my program. Uh and matter of fact, you and I will talk more about it in a minute. Um, we developed a whole system to support detoxification, cellular detox, etc. Um, I think it's I think it's miraculous and I I love

From Struggling Readers To Superpowers

Dr Pompa

it. Um I want to take you back though before we we get there, because you you and I have something in common. We were both thought to be dumbasses in second grade. Yep. I couldn't read. I couldn't read. You know, yeah. It's like, and um, I you know, obviously I just you when you can't read, you're you're getting left behind. I was held back. I think you were held back. Yeah. And of course, when that happens, you're really dumb, right? I always say this I I didn't need other students, teachers, or you know, anyone to tell me I was dumb. When you can't read, you know you're dumb. Right. I mean, meaning like you know, so the world thinks, right? Right. And you know, it was not until later I realized my brain works very special. And you know, and it was one of those things like, you mean everyone can't do this? Yeah. Yeah. So I think we both stepped into our superpower. So moms with dyslexic kids that couldn't read like us, uh, there's hope sitting at this table. All right, but you'll tell that story because I mean I think it I think it was again pain to purpose. You know, everything that I went through led me to what I teach today. Here we are, because I think of that story was where it started.

SPEAKER_00

Well, it happened in our family when the church came over and told my dad he was an alcoholic, very chronic alcoholic. He he could do good for three months and then just be laying on the floor drunk. And so the church came over and said, Michael, we can help you. We have this meditation we're gonna do on Friday night. It was called the Silva Method. They said, just come there, see what happens. My dad went there. Everyone was laying on the floor doing the Silva process. They had something called the Silva sound going. It's an alpha track. It was like isochronic tones, we would call it today. My dad came home and he felt different. He said, if I feel this good next Friday, we're all gonna do it. So he they taught him to practice this, going to level, going to alpha. Because what we found was sound, you can get to alpha all day long. Getting to theta, where the real healing happens, is very difficult with sound alone. And I know there's probably people watching this who go, I go to theta all the time. I'm gonna challenge you, fly out to New Bern, let me scan your brain. If you do get to Theta, I'll pay for your airline ticket and give you a thousand

Brainwaves Explained In Plain Terms

SPEAKER_00

dollars.

Dr Pompa

Okay, kind of give them because this conversation is gonna go for air, kind of give them um a little education on alpha, beta, theta, you know, delta, theta.

SPEAKER_00

So so where we're talking right now, our brain should be in this isn't my this is this is common knowledge in neurophysiology. Our brain has five primary brain waves, and they should all be working in orchestra. So think of it like a symphony. If you don't have the bass section, it's not gonna sound the same. So when we're awake, we should have about 45% of our brain in beta. Think of beta as your reactionary mind. Okay. If you're not drink, you know, when you're walking driving down the highway and you look over and the guy's got the glassy eyes and not responding, he's probably not in much beta. He's not reacting. So we need that. It's not a villain. So it's a beta here. Yes. And then we should have 30% of our brain in alpha. Alpha is the intuitive brain and creative brain, but we need that to speak. Like we did a we did a program with Joe Kita Handy in California where we measured the brains of autistic children. Most of them are missing alpha. I mean, like chronically, they only have zero to one percent. When we took them through the training in 30 days, when the group got to about 23% alpha, 90% of them started speaking. Wow. With no speech pathology. So alpha, you need to process thought to speak. Right. If you mem, if you remember, you go on YouTube and look up Bill Gates introducing USB. He probably did it a million times in the lab, was able to do it, but he got flustered on stage, he got nervous. He was messing up, he couldn't even plug in a USB. Yeah. Because if you you can know what to do, but your body won't follow. And I tell people this is what happens to us. We knew what to think and do, but our brain was locked out of it because of stress. We were in a stress mode in school. So then when you drop down, there's a brainwave called theta. Theta is where all these great inventors go. Like Edison had a little process in his lab. If he got to a stuck point, he'd sit in a chair and go to sleep, and he had an iron ball in his hand. And when he fell asleep, he would lose because theta, you don't have any reaction in the physical body. Your body's just totally relaxed. He conditioned his mind to give him the solution to his problem. And this is over, he would nod off. Yeah. And as soon as that ball would hit that metal pan, boom, he'd have a solution. And so our brain is a 100 billion neural bit processor. Its whole job is to figure out how to make sense out of this world. And we do that through perception, not reality. This isn't reality what we're seeing. This is just perception. Because if we go into the kitchen and we don't know the salt shakers at, but our spouse or or other members of the family do, they sits right there on the counter and go, No, it isn't. They walk out and they go, There it is. Because our brain is rendering. We call this in psychology a stictoma because it's there, like they say in the Bible, you can't see the sin in another because of the stick in your eye. So they named it after that. But the reality is that we all have blind spots and we we we believe that this is real, so we render it. And they say in neuroscience, we render about 90% of reality because we know it already. We we or we perceive it. We always have this bias. So this theta gives us discretionary access to something called the subconscious. And Bruce Lipton, that's Delta. So when you're in Delta, there's no programming that happens, you're not really there. You're like when you fall asleep on the couch or something and they're trying to get you up to go to bed, you don't even respond. But then you have to get back into alpha and theta to move your body and beta to move down the road. But delta is necessary for recovery. It's also very important to detox the brain. Yeah, you know. I mean, that's your deep sleep. Deep sleep. So you need about less than 10% of that. But the 40,000 brains we've scanned in the last 10 years, 90% of those people were over 60% delta. So that means that their brain was either had massive toxins from not sleeping and eating poor foods and sitting, or they have a traumatic brain injury. Something's going on. So it's there's got to be one of those two things because the brain would regulate. You that's a sleeping brain. So usually when we measure some, that's why it's so hard for them to struggle for the day. They go get coffee and tea and chocolate. We can get into that a little bit.

Dr Pompa

They want they just want stimulation.

SPEAKER_00

They want so they're they're using the chemical system to drive the electrical system. You're never gonna win that battle. Your thoughts are gonna override whatever you that's why I say you cannot think a bad diet. You've you've got to eat well to be well. And that way you can let your subconscious do as it does. I say, you want God to build your house, but he says, You bring me the materials, I'll build you a great house. Yeah, but if you bring him, you know, crappy materials, you're gonna get what you get. And then there's a brain now, brainwave state that from 2000 on, they've now been saying it's a good one. We used to think it was like schizophrenic, it's called gamma. And what I'm finding when we're we're scanning people, because we can now measure it, high gamma performers, like peak performance athletes, healers, uh people who are pro like a lot of doctors are problem solvers, the really good ones. You know, they they assess a situation, they come up with great solutions. We find that they have a high degree of gamma activity and it's linked to energy flow through the system. But now we know, think of gamma like uh the old Memorex commercials where the guy or gal would be singing and break the glass. That gamma frequency they know breaks breaks down amyloid plaque because it's gonna it's gonna lower inflammation in the brain. That that plaque is there to protect you. You can't just take the house is on fire and you're gonna take away all the fire retardant. Right. You know, you got to take care of the fire retardant first, and the inflammation will go out all automatically. So, you know, that's where the detoxes come in, and and I'm we're big believers in that, obviously. Yeah, and we need to do those things. So these five brain waves in between beta and alpha, there's a brainwave called SMR, sensory motor rhythm. This is the brainwave that atrophies as we age. And this is the one that almost ever all my sessions start in that brainwave. So we do a little training there because that's the one that gives you those when you're on, you know, you had a great night's sleep, somebody asks you a question, or you get on a TV show, radio show, interview, and you just ask, man, I was on fire. Everything just came to me. That's because you're you're straddling that beta and alpha brainwave. And that's the most powerful brainwave for us as humans while we're in activity. Now it's not a good one to meditate to. We want to drop down a little bit more and let the body recover.

Dr Pompa

How do people get into that? Um, you know, to function at a higher level?

SPEAKER_00

Well, you can do it. Uh the way most people do it in the past is exercise. So when you exercise, you actually go into SMR and your brain starts to create more BD and F, the brain derived neurotraffic factor, which we call miracle growth for the brain. But what most people don't do, and I wrote an article for um Muscle and Fitness Magazine, because I know the the owner, and he asked me to write an article about L acetylcholine, because each of these brain waves also connects to those 54 different neurotransmitters. Transmitters you need and tells the gut, I need these. So the biological system can keep up with the psychological system. So if this communication's there and you're in this activity, you now have this, and acetylcholine is like what happens when you fell in love and you're doing these things, and you're, you just feel like everything's working for you instead of against you. And so that's our natural state when we're when we're in activity with people. You know, we're engaged, we're present, you know, and they say the highest frequency for a person is authenticity. So when you're in your in your authenticity, you're in you're not pretending to be what mom and dad wanted you to be, you're not pretending to be what your preacher, teacher, whoever wanted you to be. You're just simply being yourself. That's when we have the most energy because that that that brainwave, you draw energy from alpha theta downward, you use energy from beta upward.

Dr Pompa

I say that's like when you're functioning in your perfect true identity, who God created you to be, right? You get your functioning at such a high level. When I'm teaching and I hit, I know. Yeah, it's like, you know, true authenticity is the highest. Yeah, because most people uh would say love is the it's in people say, oh no, actually, it's not love. It's when you're functioning in perfect authenticity. Yeah is the highest.

SPEAKER_00

We are our our we are projecting and experiencing love all the time. We can't be something we're not. Right. So we have to have it internally, but we can deny it. You know, like we we don't have enough self-love, we don't respect ourselves, we anticipate things bad happening to us. And then when they happen, we go, I can't believe that happened. What do you mean? You visualized it. You didn't know you were visualizing it, you didn't know you were pretending it, but it happened.

Dr Pompa

When I would watch doctors train and I'd watch them like do a lecture or something, and they would say the same words as I would at times. And and yet there was that something missing, right? It was that that perfect energy missing because they weren't functioning in their true identity. Oftentimes people functioning in a false identity, they're living life from an energy down here. Yes. Like I said, everything is perceived. Well, how did you put it? Um, you know, not perceived as the best.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. If you think in terms of certainty, when you teach with certainty, you know you own it, you live it, you do it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

People will believe that because they don't believe what you say to them. They believe what they felt about what you were saying to them. So they're actually matching your energy all the time. You know, and I tell people, you know, in the Bible, when he says, when two of them are gathered in my name, there I am. He's talking about the quantum field, the energy that happens, because that field of energy is there, you're calling that in. So when you're around, when you have a good teacher, you have a good practitioner, they somebody could do the same technique, the same everything, but they go to one person, they don't get healed. They go to the next person, wow, it happens. It happened not because the technique that was just the vehicle to get the person into the right state. The body knows how to heal, the brain knows how to return to normal.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

So if if they can look up and say, I'm safe here, yeah. I this person has a plan for me with certainty, and they're gonna buy that from you, not from what you say to them about a technique, not because you use it. When when we had our franchise company, we was just, I had 108 locations. The best people, we never even told them we use this in the clinic. What we did is we said, You want this result. Here's what we've done with other people. This is what we're gonna do for you. We're gonna put a plan together. We have a series of things we're gonna do with you. We don't know what those are yet. We're gonna get feedback from you, but we're gonna use every tool, every tool in our toolbox that's necessary to get you that end result you want. Right. Now, they will buy that. But if I say, you know what, you're gonna come in, you're gonna listen to this light and sound machine, you're gonna lay back in a zero gravity chair, you're gonna listen to lectures, we're gonna put you on some nutrition. And then pretty soon they're going, they're thinking of all the reasons why not to do it. But when they get in, you say, okay, this is the first process we're gonna do. We're gonna do this, we're gonna do this, we're gonna do this, we're gonna get some feedback, we're gonna see how you do. Our goal is to make you never have to come and see me again because you've done something most people don't do. This is the way I explain it to them. So there's two different forms of healing out there. And people get it confused. There's one called sick care. And you go to that doctor, and God bless them, they're doing their job. If I break my leg and need a surgery, I want that doctor. But if I go to that doctor for health, they didn't do the research, they don't know what's going on, they have no clue. All they know is what's in the PDR, and all they know is this is what I get paid in insurance. Right. And and so when you go there, that what they say to you is, you know, you know, you're not quite bad enough yet. Go home. If it gets a little worse, we'll figure out how we can burn you, cut into you, we can do these things for you. Now you go to the same, the same thing. Most of the time, I always tell people, go to your find a and I was just on Hippocrates' podcast because they asked me to be on there and answer questions for people. And this person said, the doctor said I should just go home, get my affairs in order. You know, I'm not gonna make it. And I said, Well, I kind of believe a little differently than that because I've seen miracles. You are a miracle. I said, as long as you have a breath, you have hope. Yeah. I said, but you've got to do the right thing starting right now. And I said, those doctors are worried about their licensure, they're worried about giving you false, they call it false hope. There's no such thing as false hope. If you can do something that's not going to cause you pain, suffering, and more misery, and it doesn't work, I say you can always go back to what doesn't work because if you do the statistical analysis, it doesn't work. Yeah. You know, uh, so let's look at let's look at changing your you take responsibility. What are you going to do? Because while you're at your doctor's for an hour, you got the rest of your life to do the other things. So are you we believe in a quarterly cleanse at the minimum because just from metabolic waste we have and uh just by traveling and doing all the things I do, I've got to do that. I mean, if not, my body is going to get sluggish and my brain's gonna become slow, it's gonna slow down. I'm gonna use that voltage, I'm gonna use up that voltage because it it needs, it will keep me going as long as it can. Yeah, you know, the old saying, rob Peter to Pay Paul. Yeah, exactly. And people go, Well, I I didn't have any problems when I was 23. Yeah. Well, yeah, because you were robbing Peter to PayPal. Yeah, why you have osteoporosis right now because you weren't eating mineralized foods earlier. And your bone, your your body said, you know what, I know where to go get some good minerals. Let's go get those bones, you know. And so, and pretty soon you got these porous bones and you're going, What's going on? Well, exactly.

Dr Pompa

It started years ago. Yeah, it's funny because people think that uh, oh, I just got osteoporosis because my mother had it. What? Yeah, God didn't do it that way. So, okay, so I I find that like people, when we talk about scientific things and things like this, people want to bring it to like, how can it affect

The 2 AM Wake Up Problem

Dr Pompa

me? So let's talk about the person who wakes up at 2 a.m., 4 a.m. Right, and can't get back to sleep, their mind's racing. I used that as an analogy in the beginning. And I how does this help? Sure. Meaning, you know, what what does it do?

SPEAKER_00

I you know, apply the science to that. So, first of all, you're working against your biology. At 2 a.m., if your nervous system is imbalanced, your temperature is gonna increase two degrees or more. If it increases beyond two degrees, you're gonna get woke up. Your primitive brain, your midwell is gonna say there's something wrong. Get up, get me some water, get me some food, get me some movement, because movement is motion is lotion for the brain in the nervous system. So it's gonna wake you up. So, first we gotta that so the problem didn't start at 2 a.m. Okay. The problem started in the morning. Right. What how did you start your day? So, what we're gonna do, the brain wakes up. And for some people, once they get too much beta activity, it's hard to go back to sleep. So think of beta as fear, frustration, anxiety, and usually lack of breathing. So a lot of these people aren't breathing right. What we find is that people don't need uh CPAPs and all these other things once they learn to breathe through the night. They they've they've left it up to their brain and it's dysregulated over time. So what we do is you put this on or you just play it in the room. Some people, if they have blue eyes in their light sensitive, you wouldn't want to put this on in the middle of the night. You would want to just take your app, press Delta session or something. And you we've we've done it with people just having across the room. Just put your phone on airplane mode, download that. What happens is the beat frequency. And I'll just use the analogy if let's say your wife says, Hey, we're gonna go out to a party tonight. You go, I don't really feel like going to that party. You know, I've worked all day, I want to just rest. He goes, nope, I promised you you're gonna be there. They really want to talk to you, you know, Dr. Papa there, and you go, okay, I'll go there. So you get there and they start playing all your favorite music. And pretty soon they look over at you, you're tapping your toe, you're kind of jive into the music, and you're having a they go, Hey, I didn't think you wanted to be here. Well, I didn't know they're gonna play my favorite music because your cells are listening.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And they're gonna try to match the frequency of the sounds around you. All right. So we're gonna use very specific sounds that are gonna guide the brain back into alpha, back into theta, and drop them off in deep delta. Once the brain learns to do that, so think of those brainwaves when you're in beta and you're sleeping. It's like a balloon outside the water. You're in a pool and you're trying to push the balloon under how hard it is to get it under there. Once you get it underwater, you can move that ball pretty easily. That's how your brain works. But once it pops out of the water, you got to force it back in. So there's two different kinds of people that have problems sleeping. One is they'd have a hard time falling asleep. This is called latency. And so you need latency, but you don't need an hour of it. Yeah. So think of latency like you're priming your brain for sleep. So if you didn't take time to prime your brain, like have a turn off the lights an hour or two before going to bed, don't watch Stephen King movies before you go to bed or the news and things like that. You you're ready for sleep. If if we were in ancient times, we would before we go to sleep, we'd meet at the campfire, we'd talk about, hey, the berries over here, the buffalo are over here, and the fire would be burning. That fire is burning at 10 hertz frequency. The reason you get mesmerized by a fire is you're being put into high alpha and it's you're receiving infrared light. So it's a biohack. They didn't know that. They just found that, hey, when these guys, you know, life and death was every day for them. Yeah. That's not, I mean, our big concern is we're getting enough likes on Facebook or something. You know, so, but what they would do is when that log burned out, they didn't go, hey, Bob, go get us some more logs. I'm gonna binge wash the next log burn. Yeah, yeah. No, no, they're gonna say, nope, we're done. Now your body, your nervous system has down been down regulated. That's why you don't want light in your room. You want to have a cool room. You don't want all the biological markers because light in the room, warmth, is a sign of mourning. So the brain's going, obviously, and you're going through these cycles all night long. So when you're going through these cycles and you have a sleep metric, I always recommend you look at it, your latency should be between 10 and 15 minutes, which means when you're laying in bed, if you fall fast asleep, you're probably one of those people waking up at two o'clock in the morning. Yeah, yeah. Two, like you are exhausted. But yeah. Yeah. So what you want to do right before going to sleep, of course, brain tap is one way, but on the most those sessions, we're doing like a four-eight breath. And that's gonna exercise the nervous system. Most people think they don't control their autonomic. What do you mean in 4-8 breath? So you breathe into the count of four. This is gonna trigger your sympathetic system. Now, notice how your body responds to that because it's gonna trigger some things. And then breathe out slowly to the count of eight. And what'll happen is when you start to breathe out, pretty soon you're gonna know the process. When you're breathing out, we always teach a gratitude process because the brain, every thought you think has a chemical corresponding reaction in the brain. It's basically creating the most powerful pharmacy on earth, it's not on the corner drugstore. Right. It's between your ears. Yeah. So when you start having gratitude, and then once you get into that great gratitude, what will happen is maybe after four or five breaths, and these are long breaths, as long as you can breathe out, really, you'll feel your body just start unwinding. And you'll feel the deep muscles and tendons. Your body's designed to do this. Then you'll just fall asleep. And then you'll wake up in the hopefully in the morning at your predetermined time.

Dr Pompa

Tip one, four to eight, four or eight breaths. So people can't get to sleep can do that. Breathe in four and out at least eight, but as long as you can. Nice slow breath and just do it again and again rhythmically. Right. Yeah. Now, obviously, with this, because I know a lot of people will say they they can't fall asleep without it, right? Because they're so sympathetic. Um, they're like you said, you could put it just in the room, use the sound, or some people some people like putting it on. Oh, yeah. And they like, you know, because the it gives them a little bit more uh brainwave simulation.

SPEAKER_00

We have 120,000 users, not all of them on the paid model. We have a free model too that we we have out there. And what happens is they when they start to use this, you get conditioned. Just like if you were to, I tell people during the day, you don't have habits really, you have rituals. You know, if I can't find my hair supplies, no, I mean, if you you know you go in the bathroom, you your toothpaste's not in the right place, your shaving cream's not in the right place, whatever. When we put on makeup, you might get a little irritated. Yeah, this is my ritual, this is what I do, or something runs out. And then it's like it's not here.

Dr Pompa

Oh, it's right here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So that interruption, if that happens just before sleep, that causes too much. When you're in beta, you create neuropinephrine, dopamine, cortisol. Yeah. These are all things you don't want when you're awake. Yeah. But your brain, we need them to to mitigate and operate our our.

Dr Pompa

So did you did you talk to uh your son about da-da-da-da? And it's like, so not rewind. Yeah, yeah. And I'm like, like, would you not do that to me? The difference between her, I could bring up like anything. She can, we could actually have a fight and an argument, she could fall asleep. I'm up all night. Right. Like, I mean, I how's that even possible?

SPEAKER_00

Well, well, I think it it depends on how your body moves energy. Some people have never really, not that that's just you, but some people they don't know what that energy feels like to transition. It's like learning a dance. Once the brain learns that dance, so the average user for us, by the way, 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. is when they and we have over 70,000 sessions played a month. So when we don't know exactly what they're listening to, but we know in what categories. In the sleep category is always the number one. And then, of course, in the clinics are not doing that. But I mean, we've done studies like at Google and Microsoft for burnout in the middle

The Midday Reboot For Burnout

SPEAKER_00

of the day. The best thing for burnout is do it about two o'clock in the afternoon. Because just like I said, the temperature increases at night, it decreases at two. Yeah. And so people think, oh, I'm I and you will have low blood sugar and you will need food because you don't have enough cortisol. You know, your body's not rolling. So what happens is you do a reboot, a 20-minute either theta or gamma session. Now, what we proved at Google and Microsoft, that group, which by the way, they wouldn't do it at first, but the group that did it, and they get paid by the work they produce. These are programmers. So we could measure every keystroke. The ones that did the reboot took a 20-minute break, came back to work refreshed, they actually got 26% more work done every day. Yeah. So that group actually got paid for a day and a quarter more work than the group that grinded through it because we need those periods of recovery.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You know, we're the first in in if you look in history before the this evolution that we have with industry and things like that, nobody worked past two o'clock. You know, you don't see lions chasing zebras at two o'clock in the afternoon. They're they're sleeping.

Dr Pompa

Yeah. You know, well, in Europe still, like you where where is everybody? What happened? Between two and four, everything shuts down. Right.

SPEAKER_00

Because they know, you know, this is in the the thing is that if they would do a reboot or in the middle of the day, if they want to know a breath work, what we teach is the box breath.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Four breaths in, hold it, four breaths out, hold it, hold that out. And what that does, you have to do it for two or three minutes, but your nervous system will regulate because think of your breath like a light switch. That's like a four second, four second, four second, four seconds. And you make it into a box. And then if you can expand it to five seconds, five seconds, you know, you they keep, but but that that's where you start. But the the reality is that our nervous system is always throughout the day, you're just gonna keep building it up. I tell people it's it's the Microsoft fix. You know, your computer isn't working, what do you do? Your tech person is gonna say, Did you restart it? Yeah, yeah. Because when you restart it, you have a base operating system. It doesn't build, it doesn't reboot all the other stuff. What happens when you go into the first level sleep, which is RIM sleep, your body's taking everything you experienced, categorizing it, organizing it, utilizing it in a way that says, Is this useful for me? Am I gonna need this in the future? It's gonna start to predict and plan your future because you know what's gonna happen in the future, almost all of it, 97%. So when you think about that, now that's just one day. As you get further out, you don't know, you know, less and less and less. So the more you can begin to plan your life using resources, like instead of letting life happen on accident, like if I'm gonna go somewhere, I have my bag of nutrients, I have my protein bars if I need them, I have my protein shake if I need it. I I don't have the excuse anymore because I plan for that excuse. Yeah. And but other people go, you know what, I'm gonna go do it. And then they go, I'm coming to this event and I guess I'm gonna eat everything here because I I didn't, I need to eat.

Dr Pompa

Yes, yeah, I don't think that way. Yeah, I'm like, oh no, food is such a high value to me. I if I go anywhere, I uh I bring food if I know there's bad because people always go, Well, you know, but I went to a wedding. I'm like, I always eat before I go because I know I'm not gonna eat the food, right? You know, and it's like you don't have to eat. It's like there's no requirement for it. Yeah, but it's like you're right, or or I'll fake it, you know. It's like I'll put like, you know, whatever is the healthiest little thing, a couple pieces of uh, you know, tomato or something. I mean, I it's like I always prepare.

App Versus Headset And Why Light Matters

Dr Pompa

But okay, so shifting gears, you know, you have an app. People don't have to have this. Right. I like this because you're getting the stimulation, obviously, from the light frequency, right?

SPEAKER_00

Plus the sound. Let me explain that to the user. Okay, so then to understand. When we did our studies, and this is overall, again, if you got the plane ticket and come out, I'll pay you if this is different for you, because it hasn't been different in 40,000 brains. When you close your eyes to meditate or go to sleep, your brain starts to shut down. It's conserving energy. Over 30% of your brain circuitry is going to shut off. As soon as you close your eyes, that blood flow to the frontal lobe has now been redirected to the amygdala, which is your primitive brain. Now your brainstem's running the show because when you go to sleep, it's not your conscious mind doing it. And what happens is if you haven't trained that part of your brain, the fears, the frustrations, the anxieties, or what they say the monkey mind, a lot of people talk about it. And they go, That's what I don't meditate because it's just crazy in there. Well, you never maintenanced it, you never talk to yourself. You think that, but so you have to keep the conscious mind, if you will, a little bit present. It's not, you're not not there. Right. But you're when you keep blood flow to the frontal lobe, now your brain says, Oh, these are the things that are happening in my life. It's used to problem solving. So just like those inventors, although we don't have an iron ball in our hand, we're using light to interrupt the pattern because your best thinking brought you there. Thank God. We have this, but your best thinking is going to solve the problem because you still have it. So we need to upgrade that thinking. And the nice thing is that we have an adaptive system. And the body will adapt if we give it a place and a time to do that. And, you know, and if we realize it's not us, there's a power greater than both of us in this room that is trying to help us. And it's showing up in our life in all different ways. Sometimes it shows up as a bad boyfriend or poor foods or whatever, but it's saying, get through this. And guess what? At the end of the day, just like every superhero, they had to go through the dark night of the soul. But when they were arrived at the other end, they had a superpower. Yeah. What is going to be your superpower? Because then your job is to share that with the world. What even if it's just your own family. That's right. You know, like my dad did, he got help. So he shared it with his family, his superpower, and he became a silva instructor. We started doing that on weekends in Michigan. Uh every other weekend, we'd do a silva training and we'd be there to help do it. So people started learning that just like finding the glia lymphatic system in 2015, they find this new part of the body that they didn't know existed.

Dr Pompa

And that's how your brain literally detoxes because we would say, Oh, the brain doesn't have lymph, right, and it can't clear lymph, et cetera, and toxins. We realize that's not true. That's not true. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, imagine going to medical school before 2015. You're being told that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, of course.

SPEAKER_00

In the initial being told a lot of things. Even on the in even on the internet, you go, show me the lymphatic system.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It stops at the neck. I'm like, that's not the everywhere there's a blood vessel, there's a lymph vessel. It's just not on. You know, so, but it only comes on during level four sleep. So if you're one of the two-thirds of the world that isn't sleeping, your your brain will detox, but it will show up in painful ways, like foggy brain. Yeah. Um, your those toxins are going to get out of your systems one way or another. And it might even make you sick to do it. Say, we need to slow you down because your body knows that you need to have that pain.

Dr Pompa

And in my work, we find certain toxins like heavy metals, they stay in the brain. Mercury will turn to inorganic mercury, and there it's locked, clogging up the glial system, clogging up the lymphatic flow. And and that's when people end up with real problems. And that's often what I um what I solve. Okay, so the the to your point, I just wanted you to make the point. The light really, that's why I said you don't need this, but people love this, right? The light actually doesn't go up twice as fast. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like in our studies, we we have all in almost all our studies now, since three years ago, we always do a study with just the app, just the headset. And I'll just mention one of them here. We did a sleep study in Australia with coal miners. Because I we prove that we reset the circadian clock. This is what happens when you have jet lag. You you're the circadian clock is the light from the sun, is telling our body what time it is. That's why we do that two o'clock and two p.m., or we make more melatonin at 10 o'clock to 11, or we clean our liver at 11 to 12. We go around the clock. The body is tuned to the light of the sun, to the planet, to where we're at. Yeah. So if you're a cold miner, you go to sleep and you go to you go to work in the dark, you work in the dark, you leave in the dark, you never get the sun to wake you up. So we took that group. The group that used the headset, and we published the study. It was one of my students at Quantum University. He did the study. And what happened was we found that in three weeks, those cold miners, and by the way, we did two weeks washout before we started. The average cold miner was in bed 10 hours a day. They only got one minute of deep sleep, two hours of rim. They weren't sleeping, they were in bed. Oh my god. So people have this misconception they need eight hours in bed. No, longevity studies show six and a half hours. Is the like the peak performers? Because your brain's regulated, but they're getting one hour of deep at least. They can get more in then two hours of RIM. And so what we found out was it took about three weeks with the people with the headset to do that. Wow. The other group. Was lagging behind, lagging behind. But at the sixth week, they all they all came back online. Those coal miners within six weeks were sleeping better than 70% of Americans, and they were getting no sunlight still. Wow. But we we set this up in the coal mine, right? When you walked into the mine, they would do it in the morning, they would do it, they would do it when they were there, and then they would do it.

Dr Pompa

So you were basically setting up as if they were getting light. They were you were stimulating the brain. So the brain was like, oh, it's light. Oh, it's wake up time, it's bedtime. Yeah. And and you can do the same thing when you travel. Yeah. It's, you know, you can get your brain on the circadian rhythm much faster utilizing this. And then I think the sound is even different. Um, when you have the headphones on versus just listening to an app.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. We we did a study also with a thousand students in Brazil because I wanted to prove that they call it the Mozart effect. And it's very well documented. When you listen to this broke classical music, it's we call it 10 cycle music. Your brain will sink to that 10 cycles. And we used real-time HRV and we used EEG to measure brainwave activity. What we found was during the time they were listening to it, yeah, the brain did change. It went into the alpha state, they got the relaxation. But as soon as that music stopped, their brain went right back to whatever stress state before it started. When we put my algorithm in the background of that same piece of music, and the algorithm is a mixture of those things. It's not just one thing. It's sound, light, vibration, frequency. We have rife Sofigio frequencies in there too. And it's all to trigger different regions of the brain. And we what we do in the lab, we can measure the brain activity. Where's the brain? Because the brain is it's like it doesn't just shut off, it like goes through the house and shuts off the lights. And so we know that sequence because we've seen it in the lab. And so what happens is that when you do that, you get the sequences. The brain starts to remember because nobody taught us to sleep when we were little, our brain just did it because we had the energy and it could overcome any stresses we had. And we had a lot more stress when we were learning the language from our parents or how to walk and learn an environment and all those things. But what happens is the brain keeps losing that energy. So we have to we have those are those periods of rest that bring that energy back up.

Dr Pompa

Yeah, exactly. Yeah, and like you said, you know, that that deep recovery is so important. And some people go, Oh, I slept 10 hours, I wake up exhausted. Uh yeah, they probably had three minutes, five minutes of deep sleep instead of at least an hour.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

Dr Pompa

You know, okay, so um somebody that has anxiety, right? Um, which is very common today, you know. I I mean, I could put that in, you know, anxiety, depression, even just like, you know, massive brain fog. It seems like a lot of that goes right together, right? Yes. Their brain is not performing.

SPEAKER_00

And again, it's a physiological, psychological problem. It's not just one of them. People think go to get an SSRI. Those things haven't been proven for anything. Well, yeah, that yeah, exactly.

Dr Pompa

And that that works this long, and then they're back at it, right? They're only proven nine days. I help a lot of that because a lot of that's brain toxicity, right? But rewiring the brain, because what we notice is oftentimes though, we have to reset the brain because the patterns form of survival, right? So again, you know, you can really make a difference pretty quick with these people. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So what, yeah, really quickly. I mean, that's probably the biggest use we have of it is to keep is mood regulation. I mean, we just did a big study with Phoenix uh feast police department, fire department, and first responders. We showed that that study is going to be published, it's gonna blow people's minds. Yeah. Because these are people that get high stress events every day. And but what we're what you're gonna do with light sound and vibration, you're going to first put the brain into a state of calmness, alpha theta brainwave, depending on what you're doing, or even gamma. If you're gamma, though is a little different activity. It's more of a peak performant kind of activity. But the when you do this, what happens is you start to resonate and you start to breathe. Because when you look at most people, they're breathing high in their chest, they're breathing in fear. And your brain, when you wake up in the morning, your brain's asking one question Am I safe? Am I okay here? Am I gonna, you know, is my life gonna work for me? And if it doesn't answer yes, you start the stress cycle right then. So at night, you're training your brain for the next day. So when you have this stimulus of light, sound and vibration, and if I asked you to play the role for me, I'm a Hollywood producer, I need somebody who can play the role of depression. What do you think they're gonna do? They're gonna change your physiology first. Yeah, you gotta roll your head forward, yeah. And a lot of people don't realize that, but if you look at somebody working on their cell phone and you took the cell phone away, you put somebody sitting next to them that has dementia, yeah, you're gonna see the same profile. We call that digital dementia.

Dr Pompa

Yeah, so your your physiology affects your psychology, your psychology affects your physiology.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. And so the the link between them is breathing. So during each of our sessions, what we're doing is we're teaching different breath techniques. Sometimes it'll tell you what it is. I just say, take a deep breath in, hold it to the kind of floor. Now we're gonna let that out for the kind of ape. I think, you know, I'm gonna teach them because all those negative states, they all have one thing in common lack of breath. If you've had children, you know what I'm talking about. They come running up to you, they're all angry, and you say breathe, and they get angrier because they know as soon as they breathe, the anger goes. Because it's called energy in motion, emotion. And when that energy is not in motion, it's destructive. But energy in motion is conductive. So we can get the solution. So part of what we're doing with BrainTap is we're gonna set the environment. First of all, this environment here that I was seeing in this room, we're we're seeing with our eyes, hearing with our ears, our senses are bringing this information to us. If I put the headset on, now this room doesn't matter anymore because we only have first attention. That's why you can be in a restaurant, you have a conversation with somebody, they've done neuro, they've done neuroscans with people where they've done probes in the brain, and the person thought they were just talking to their wife or their family. But during the time when they probe their brain, those memories are all there. Your memory is perfect, it's your recall system. You don't have the energy to get the memory, but they pressed it. They were hearing full conversations four tables away. But they weren't consciously hearing it. The brain was taking in all that data, all that information, because that's what it does. Yeah. But we our brain is very good at basically filtering out information that's so proof.

Dr Pompa

It was hearing it, it was taking it in, but it wasn't it did your conscious mind didn't need it. Right. So therefore it just wasn't there. But then it erases the data, the data, right? Because it doesn't get it well. There's two types of information.

SPEAKER_00

Everything's cut kept forever. That's amazing. Imagine in the they now know that they've got to figure out how to store information in light. Once they do that, infinite capacity. Because we can store so much. Now you are light. MIT came out just 22 weeks ago that said everything starts with the electron transport chain. And later in that article, it says that friend that you had that was running around saying they are light, and they thought it was a metaphysical concept, it's not anymore. It's a scientific truth because at the very core of who we are, in 1994, they had a study and they they quoted the study. A group of doctors got together in Europe and looked at the body as a Wi-Fi network, not as a chemical solution. And they they found out what they determined was we're more electrical because the electrical system is the lead system and the chemical system follows it. And so, in course, you can go vice versa. They they don't work separately, they they work together. And so what we're talking about here is how do you get the energy to flow? And once you get the energy flowing, those negative states aren't natural for us. Those those those when you think of fear, frustration, anxiety, those are protective mechanisms. So they're needed. I mean, yeah, you move in and out of them. You need it, right?

Dr Pompa

But people get stuck there. Yes. But that's again, I started this whole thing by saying, hey, you don't have a brain problem, you have a wiring of wiring problem. So in all simplest form, this rewires the brain.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, what it does is it brings more energy in. That energy has to go somewhere. So most people watching this probably know photobiomodulation.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So what happens is the cell cranks up the ATP. It says, I've got enough ATP. And so it shoots it out in the form of light. The cells around it go, I'll take a little of that. Then when they get full, they say, Let's give it out. They they have a uh YouTube where they have a guy from Harvard put a laser on a finger. It took two minutes for that photon to circulate around the whole body. Wow. So the our body is designed, every cell has what they call a chromoform. It's like a little battery. When that battery is full, it doesn't accept any more information. It basically becomes a reflector and sends that information to the cells around it. And then the brain waves kind of work like circading, you know, the bugs in the forest where one starts and then the other start, and pretty soon you got this brainwave activity. Yeah. But the the heart brain, it it creates what they call a magnetic field. It can land out 16 feet from us. But the brain in our head, NIH in 1992, if you go to their website and put in biofield, they said that every human being has a field of energy around them that's three foot in diameter, and all illness starts in that field. So why are they giving them pills first? Right. Yeah. You know, we need to do that's why whether it's a chiropractic adjustment, a massage, or cold plunge or saunas, we're think of somebody's health like a fish bowl. The fish bowl is their environment. That field, their human body, and inside that fish tank, you've got all these fish, but they're all different illnesses. So we take this one fish out. Oh, this is arthritis. I clean up the arthritis, I give it everything it needs. It's working really well now. I put it right back into the fish tank. It's gonna get bad again. So we've got to clean the whole environment.

Clean The Environment Then Rewire

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, exactly. You can't just I use that analogy. Yeah. So I mean, when when people think about it, they need to think in terms of how do you change the field that you're seeing through.

Dr Pompa

Well, that's why I was excited to do this with you for our people, my people in Pompa program, because I'm cleaning up the fish tank. Yes. But the problem is, is that there's there's neurological patterns, right? The the cells need light, the cells need positive influence. So the two together are magic.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

Dr Pompa

You know, it's like you put the two together, you know, cleaning up of the environment. It's like that's going to affect your cells, how they work, how they detox, how they make energy, ATB. And then we're giving the cells what they need.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

Dr Pompa

Right. With the positive reinforcement, the light waves that they need to make more energy to need different waves at different times.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. So in the morning, that's when we need that SMR. I call it digital coffee. Yeah. Because that's when you need the cortisol, the dopamine, neuropinephrine, everything you need to get started. In the middle of the day, you need a full reboot. Yeah. You need to like we know that in our studies, 20 minutes of brain tap is equivalent to a four-hour nap. And some people say, I don't, they they go, I don't, all I hear is hello, this is Dr. Patrick Porter, and then eyes open wide awake. And I go, that's fine, because it's not for your conscious mind. Yeah. Your conscious mind has very little to do. You know, when when Bruce Lipton came out years ago and said 95% of your biological system is ran by your subconscious, he's talking about what's changing your cells, what's beating your heart, what's all these things are happening without you. While you're doing everything you need to do every day, your body's taking care of everything it needs to do. Yeah, absolutely. So, and if if we're we're offloading all this work to it because we're doing destructive behaviors and foods and things like that, and we can't help some of it. And we're gonna be It's true.

Dr Pompa

Well, you can't help a lot of toxins. You know, no matter what you do, you're going to have some level of toxicity. I mean, you know, no doubt mine is less than other people because I'm very conscious about what I put myself around or in my body. That said, today we are surrounded. Therefore, you better keep your detox pathways open. That's why I'm like, I'll never stop detoxing, right? You better give the cells exactly what they need to even help at detox. This is part of you know, my Rs, you know, restoring cell energy is R number three. And this really plays into that in a big way. I I could argue it plays into every R. But I had someone come up to me who was doing my program, and their coach got them to do this because they had a high level of anxiety. They had trouble sleeping, right? And but what to their surprise, and they had trouble detoxing. And I think that's what started the conversation because in the program we did, we helped, we assisted all of the detox pathways. But the biggest surprise to them, they didn't realize it was going to affect their brain the way it did. It changed their sleep. Therefore, it changed their energy. Therefore, like, my gosh, it was like I'm positively thinking, how did it do that? And I was explaining, you know, that how many of these processes were shut down at the cellular level and your brain needs ATP and blah, blah, blah. But it's like, so they didn't expect that. They thought it was just going to help their detox, I think. But it's all about that frequency.

SPEAKER_00

You're raising when you when you raise that you raise that frequency. And then it's easy to say no to those things because you go, I want to feel this way. And you start thinking more long term, which is better thinking than that instant gratification that most people look for. Yeah. You know, you can say no to that candy bar, or you can say no to that bad meal, or you can say yes to walking or yes to drinking good water, all these things that are necessary.

Dr Pompa

People say, Dr. Bob, if I could just, you know, hear you every day, I it it would be like so much easier with all the diet things. This and I just, you know, and uh you can. Matter of fact, I think that's really the cool thing. You don't just get me, by the way. I I'm one of like how many people different people that you can download um on here and listen to for different reasons. Yes. Uh, there's people that specialize just in sleep, uh, that you do one. Um there's people who like, I don't know, name some of the different Dr.

SPEAKER_00

Eamon's doctor, Dr. Credo, we just finished one called Sleep Like a Champion. Because sleep is no longer a luxury, it's a necessity. Yeah. You're not doing that. And it's I didn't know it was ever a luxury.

Dr Pompa

So I mean when we're go without sleep for two days, we're gonna call that a luxury.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. Your body's gonna start shutting down. That's what I mean. It's it's a necessity. We have sessions that are dealing with we have experts in women's health. So anything you can think of in women's health, we probably have a program for that from menopause to we just we're featuring one, we're we're featuring this one uh this week, actually, for postpartum depression. Because one of our offices, she she's like an expert at that. And I said, Well, I it's not gonna be my voice, it's gonna be a woman. And yeah, I said, I'll help you script it so it has all the mechanisms you need in the system. Yeah, that's what you did with me. Yeah. So now we took that knowledge bank, and when you learn something on a conscious level, they know it takes thousands of times of doing it. But once you get it to that other than conscious level, that alpha and theta level, now it drops into that delta level. And so that's those levels of learning. Now you unconsciously do it because it's unconscious knowledge and it feeds back through the system. Everything happens through you, not to you. But as long as you're looking at life as a threat, it happens to you. Yeah. But as soon as you start realizing, no, this life is happening through me, my thoughts change, my beliefs change, and my expectations of the world change. And then just like Max Blank said, when you look at a thing, the thing you're looking at begins to change. That's because the way you're looking at it. So those things happen because from the inside out we change, not from the outside in. Never. You know, the old the old saying, a chicken is born when it comes out of the egg, you know, a breakfast is made when you hit it from the outside, you know, and you get the, you know, the you get to eat the yolks and things like that. So you have to think in terms, you have to start believing that you have the capacity. Everybody has it. It's not a special group.

Dr Pompa

Well, you know, people would say uh, you know, that, well, that's very difficult for me. I I think again, that's why this is so effective, because it's assisting you. You know, a lot, some people can change their mindsets, some people can let live life live through them easier than others. Some people, you know, I think our childhood wounds have a lot to do with that. You know, a lot of things, a lot of factors, right? But this helps you break through because it's in and to your point, it people start off, you know, unconsciously incompetent, meaning you don't even know what you don't know, and you don't have any ability to do anything about it. Okay, that's where this is most effective. Then they slowly, with repetition, right, they become, you know, unconsciously or they become consciously incompetent, meaning, okay, I'm aware that I now I'm more aware that there's like an issue here with my thinking. I it's all right.

SPEAKER_00

You might even be like when they start a program, they go, it's getting worse.

Dr Pompa

No, it's just you're more aware of where, right? It's like you buy a yellow car and you see a lot of yellow cars, right? It's like so you become more aware, and then eventually you be consciously competent, right? It's like where you're conscious, oh, and now I actually become competent. And that's kind of the progression you watch people go through. But it I love it though, because I mean, you could do, you know, 10, 20 minutes a day. It doesn't take much. The consistency is where it's at.

SPEAKER_00

Right. Because the nervous system, once it finds a pleasurable state, yeah, even though some people do run from pain better than running from pleasure, you know, it's just the nature of our mindset. But the reality is that your body wants you to feel good. Yeah. It wants you to be healthy, have more love, more satisfaction, all these things. And it all plays in together. Yeah. So that's what I'm saying about the periods of relaxation. You know, when when Mike Tyson says everybody has a plan until they get hit, yeah, most people don't realize most people don't realize they're getting hit all the time. What you're not nothing in and I've been doing this for like 40 years now, this year. So when you think about my life hasn't been a bed of roses, you mean I have I'm an entrepreneur, you know, something's gonna happen. But I don't let that define me. It's just an experience. That's true. How can you overcome that? Because I know that once I do, and I explain this to my wife every once in a while, she gets she's all stressed out. I go, you should celebrate, you're doing neuroplasticity right now. You know, and once we figure out the solution, your brain now has the neural pathways. But until you have that way of doing it, your brain's scrambling, trying to figure it out because it knows the answers in there. You know, when when when they say all un all un all unhappiness stems from unfavorable comparisons. So when you're doing something, it's not comparing it to what you did, and it's you're not happy with it, it's because one of them is winning out. So you have to focus on the one that you want that's going to bring you the most health. Yeah because the brain isn't making that decision for you.

Dr Pompa

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

It's just like AI. If people are using AI and they go, What do you think of that? I said, one thing I notice about AI is the better the question, the better the answer. Of course. So what question are you asking yourself? Yeah. And the question should be just like you're talking to AI. What if my brain started to operate at the highest level? What if I made it through this detox? What would I be thinking about? What would I be acting like? How would I treat my family and my friends? How would I know that's happening? What would be never don't worry about the why. You know the why. Your body's toxic. But if you start, if you start competing with the subconscious, or what we I like to call the other than conscious, that's like a fourth grader. And if you've ever argued with a fourth grader, you don't win. Yeah. Yeah. You know, they don't know when they lost. No, your subconscious doesn't know when they're lost.

Dr Pompa

You have all this brain energy, they just wear you down. Because they don't they don't know they're losing. That's you know, you you brought up a point earlier.

Hormones Meds And The Symptom Trap

Dr Pompa

Um you even mentioned that there's a one for hormones, women going through perimetopause, menopause, et cetera. You know, I'm not a big fan. Uh it's like our whole space has gone hormone crazy, that everyone's just taking hormones, right? And uh I believe there's consequences of that. I believe there's a time and a place, too, right? Especially when you don't have a gland. But you know, the the body's innate intelligence, which this is directly affecting, your estrogen, your testosterone levels, your project, they're they're changing constantly in relation to cortisol. You know, I mean, neuropinephrine, all it it it is, your body understands this rhythm. It's like it what people, good doctors will tell you, well, it depends on when you measure your thyroid hormone, right? Because it does change throughout the day. Every hormone does. And it with stress and this and that. When you're taking a hormone, you're forcing a certain level, right? So, and again, time and a place for that. But why not get to more of the root? Because you talked about how this impacts your hormones from really the top down. So people should be giving this a chance before they just start throwing themselves on hormones.

SPEAKER_00

Because what they'll find is when you get out of the stress response and get more into the relaxation response, your body knows those cycles. Absolutely. I can't I can tell you thousands of stories of people that said, I don't have to use my medication. Now we don't tell them to get off it because we're a wellness device, right? So what I say, when they start doing that, I said you need to go to your medical doctor because when they're having reactions, I say you need to get off those medicines.

Dr Pompa

It happens with it happens when we detox people. It's like, well, I'm, you know, I'm my getting heart rate, I'm sleeping like, oh, you need less thyroid medication.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

Dr Pompa

Happens all the time.

SPEAKER_00

Because your body knows what's best for you. Yeah. And it's designed to heal. But it's also designed, think of it like you've got a five-alarm fire going. It's not going to digest, metabolize, and use the food. It's going to go try to save the body. So if we can take saving the body off the table because you're doing it for it, you're living a lifestyle that's doing it for it. You're thinking that way, you're acting that way, you're responding that way. Now the body says, you know what? You got that handled. Yeah. Let me start to mend the body because you can't mend the body in a sympathetic state. Absolutely. You can only mend the body in a parasympathetic state.

Dr Pompa

And you can't, your body's always trying to find homeostasis. That means balance. That means you sleep good, have energy, feel good, think good. Right. It's like, but when you're in that sympathetic state, a survival mechanism, you don't find homeostasis. So you're out of balance. So then we're trying to balance with hormones. It's a it's a game that people don't win. And now we have healthy people driving hormones just because they think it's part of anti-aging. Well, I I there it's gonna bite them in the butt, Patrick.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. I mean, the um I was telling you the story about bringing my PSA down. Well, one thing they noticed when I started doing things first thing in the morning, I brought it down to into the safe range, but my testosterone went up. And they were telling me, we need to get you on some, and I I wasn't doing it because I didn't want to become dependent upon something. But now you start lifting weights. Every muscle in your body is a little factory, a little pharmacy. That's right. So if you don't have enough muscle tone, you won't have enough vagal tone.

Dr Pompa

That's right.

SPEAKER_00

Because these work hand in hand.

Dr Pompa

And you don't have enough mitochondria. So you lack of the ATP, the energy, and yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So it's a vicious cycle. So they're treating, they're basically treating you like your engine's never going to get repaired. Instead of just covering up the idiot lights and saying, My engine I had a woman come into me in my clinic when I was in practice. We don't see anybody on a research lab, but she came in and we have a one question we Ask is what subscrip prescriptions you on. And then we asked the question, what do you rate your health? And she was on 17 prescriptions and she rated her health at 10. So I'm I'm having my talk with her. I said, You know, I'm I'm looking at your intake and I'm a little confused.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I said, You you're on 17 medications. And she rated it at 10. Yeah, she rated. She goes, That's why I am. I said, I said, let me tell you what those medicines are doing. I said, they might be helping you get through the symptoms. But just because you you worked on the symptoms doesn't mean you solved the problem. That just means those are working until those don't work. Was that like a news flash to her? Yes. She thought by taking medicine she was healthy. Wonder how many people think that. Yeah, I bet more than you more than we think. That's why we asked people.

Dr Pompa

I doubt a lot of my viewers believe that, but I believe that there are people in their families that believe that. Like, but it's hard to believe. Right. Yeah. It's like, you know, just you have a pebble in your chute, you know, taking painkillers is basically what it's doing. Yeah. You know, it's like, oh my God, like just stop, take your shoe off, dump the thing out. Hey, wow, that worked. Yeah. Yeah, I love that one. You know, I mean, but it's amazing that people think that they actually lack uh metformin, and that's why they have diabetes. Well, heck, I got diabetes because I lack this. My doctor's such a hero, you know.

SPEAKER_00

It's like they're treating the symptom. That's the difference between sick care industry and healthcare industry. Healthcare industry, the good ones, look at look at root cause. Oh, what's the what's the what's the root cause? And the the doctor says, I looked at all the symptoms, and I'll give you an example. My wife has Addison's, which is really bad. You don't make cortisol. Yeah. So you don't I know. And so you have to do something to mitigate that because that she eats a meal and her blood sugar goes through. Did our immune system attack that part of the adrenal gland? What happened? She she got in a bad car accident back before we were married, and it did something. And she we've been going to everyone to try to get it. And she does things that make it so she can operate and work and things like that. But she gets blue feet sometimes because of the circulation, right? So she goes to the doctor, and three doctors in a row said, You know what, you you just you just have uh light skin, so it's just your blood vessel. So finally she gets to see this cause. So finally went to this one doctor, and he's sitting at the computer and he goes, I don't know, it might be just you have thin skin. And she goes, Everybody said that it's not just thin skin, there's something going on. So he sits down at the computer checking it out. He goes, Oh, I found it here. Blue feet. And she she's thinking she's gonna get a solution. And so he wraps it up, took back to him, he's smiling, and she goes, Well, what am I gonna do? She goes, He goes, I don't know, but I can now diagnose you. You have blue feet. Like, what are you gonna do about it? Nothing.

Dr Pompa

It's just this is the way our this is the problem, the major premise of our medical system is wrong. And therefore, every deduction from the major premise becomes a problem, right? So you have to change the major premise. God designed our bodies in a way to heal. We have to remove the interference, give it what it needs, and dang, and it heals every time. And again, I don't know how my Italian brick-laying father raised me with that thought, but that's the way I was raised. There's a reason. You don't need that. Throw that away. You know, I was like, I was raised not on drugs, you know. It's like that's the way it was. You know, I was just with a guy uh yesterday. I was what day it was, Sonny, it was yesterday. And uh as soon as people we were golfing with them, we were lined up. Nice young man. Wow, what a heck of a golfer, semi-pro. I felt like I can never get a ball after this guy, right? Anyways, and you know, once they hear what I do, they start eventually they get to their issues, right? Which I'm fine with. I actually like it. And because I'm like you said, I'm a problem solver at a very high level. And within five minutes, my son said, Dad, it took you five minutes. He, this guy had gone everywhere to every expert, functional, regular. Of course, they start regular, then they go functional. And within five minutes, uh, first of all, I'm looking at him and I noticed that his jaw on the one side looked inflamed. I noticed I saw lymph channel, I saw lymph like literally coming down his neck. And so already I was noting this as I was talking to him. And then he starts describing a tightness in his throat and all these things that he can figure out what was going on with his sophagus and how when he then he said, you know, even when I bite, I feel it. I'm like, oh my gosh. I said, I think you have an infection and what is called a cavitation. Uh, did you get a wisdom tooth out on that side? Yeah. Yeah. Well, we need a cone beam. My brain went right to finding cause, right? This guy has an infection here, it's driving inflammation. He was, you know, getting certain symptoms that, I mean, even the breathing, I'm like, I know exactly what's going on. And it was driving him sympathetically. But the bottom line is that our medical system, even functional medicine, Patrick, has moved away from getting to cause, I fear. You know, it's like I said, they're just throwing hormones and now peptides at people. Peptides are fun. You know, I've used many of them. But no one says, hey, I got my life back from taking this peptide. It's just, it's not, you know, it's it's fun. Yeah. You can put some BPC in a shoulder and it really can help healing. But it it you're not going to fix your sleep by taking uh DSIP peptide.

Pain Control Without Long Term Opioids

SPEAKER_00

One of our studies we're just publishing right now was done at Unisol down in Brazil, the largest university in Brazil. We they asked me about, because we invented this first for pain control, because pain's a signal to the body. And what happens is they forget to turn off the light switch. The body's fixed, but the It happens all the time.

Dr Pompa

But by the way, when I detox people, well, like it happened to me. Once I get the toxins out of them, that you know, everything, all their energy gets better, this gets better, but they're left in I'm gonna save your life mode. They left, they're left chemically sensitive, mold sensitive, because the program, the light switch is still on. Yeah, program's still running. Turn it off. That's what your point you're making.

SPEAKER_00

So, what I always tell people is you can't have the pill without the skill. So our body knows how to take pain away. I went through painless surgery. My dad put me through it when I was a kid, had a piece of my shoulder, put over here with a bone through it. Nothing more than him talking to me. Yeah. And so I knew it could work. So they asked about, well, how can we test this? I said, Well, do you have any surgeries going like a group of surgeries? I said, You put a group of surgeries together, we'll have one group not use brain tap, the other group use brain tap. They wouldn't let me do it without the medicine. So most people don't realize it, but these these medicines uh are only approved for four weeks of use, these opioids. Yeah, so addiction starts very quickly. So I said, okay, in four weeks, because they wouldn't let me do without it. They go to the city.

Dr Pompa

Most addiction starts within 14 days, two weeks.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That's why they all pills are approved for 14 days. You know, but then they get on them for life. So at the end of this, and this is still going on. We're in the seventh month of the washout study, we call it. So during the actual study, they all had the surgery, they all had the pills at first. Our group got brain tapped. We told we told them what to do. They they recorded it, we documented it. At the end of four weeks, we said to our whole group, if you can, we didn't say get off them. We said if you can, if you feel like you don't need the pain medicine anymore, see how long you can go. If you need it, it's there for you, just use it. Our group, 100%, got off in four weeks. Their group, nobody. We're now in our seventh month. Same thing's true. Their group, nobody. Because they didn't have any, they didn't teach the nervous system what to do. We said, when you take the pill, be in a place where you can do a brain tap session, you're gonna teach the brain what you're asking it to do. The brain learns what it's doing because those opioid receptors are looking for that signal.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And once you train it, and it's just like Pavlov and the dogs, people don't realize that that study went on beyond the ringing of the bell.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

They they followed that study and they noticed the dog started salivating when the guard would come to open the door. Then they started salivating when they at the time when the guard would come in there. And then pretty soon they didn't even need the guard. It would just salivate.

HRV Tracking And Recovery Capacity

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

Dr Pompa

That's what's happening in the brain of these people. Well, I I didn't get to use this. This is you took this whole thing even to another level. Yeah. Explain what that is. This is it reminds me of the thing you see on TV. Like you check your heart. Yeah, that's what it is. Okay. So I I saw that one.

SPEAKER_00

I saw that. I bought one and I sent it to our partners in Russia that own the patent on HRV. That's what the ones that we do the neurocheck with. They also were the ones that worked with the cosmonaut program. They're the family that did it. So these are the people that own all the data. They actually had to figure out new math called quantum fractal mathematics and got a Nobel Peace Prize for it because the body has certain frequencies.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_00

And so I went to them. We have a big unit that some of the doctors watching this might already have it called the neurocheck. It's like $6,000. So that's not something you buy for home use. So I said, what if we could do something for our clinicians? And now anybody can buy this, you know, but our physicians can give this to a patient, they can put their left thumb and right thumb on here, put on the app, click the button. It will take five minutes usually to get 300 heartbeats. So this is just a collector of data. Okay. And but instead of just getting the heart rate, the sine wave that they usually get, we're getting the data between those sine waves. Because what they've proven was your body is sending codes in the form of information and computers can now detect that and give us back readings that are all three years ago. My my science team and Ames Bopal, which is the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences, like his MIT of India, we got we got a uh Asian researchers of the year because we took this technology and proved out all their Aur Vedic medicine. Wow. Because if it doesn't move the nervous system, it's not doing anything.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So we we showed that. So this is something they can do at home. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the big one has, because but this is only $300. So what what what are you gathering? The main thing that we want to know about, everybody knows about heart rate variability. So we're gathering that, but we're not just gathering the data from the heart to the brain, which is what most people gather. We're getting gut information. So we don't call it heart rate variability.

Dr Pompa

We just call it Well, you know, I you say that there might be people watching this who don't know what heart rate variability is, but it's a lot of the sleep devices to measure sleep, the aura, the other one, uh, the strap. Um measure heart rate variability. It tells you if you're not adapting to exercise, stress, alcohol, you'll see heart rate variability tank and heart rate go up. You knew you either ate too close to bed, you stressed yourself out before bed somehow, some way. You're not adapting to a stress. Maybe you're doing too much cold bath, too much sauna, too much exercise, right? Things that are normally good, you can be doing too much. Your heart rate variability will go down.

SPEAKER_00

That's why a lot of these health optimizers, you know, they use it because it will tell you in training. And we did this with uh Kansas City Sport, the soccer team, with the bigger unit, not this one. But what we did is we said, we know that in heart rate variability, if you're an athlete, especially a pro athlete, you're gonna work your body really hard during that practice. At the end, your heart rate's gonna go down, your heart rate variability is gonna be tanked because now your body's reorganized. We can't just lift weights all day long, we're gonna have no muscles. So, and we know in four hours it should be back to your normal baseline or better. If it doesn't, then you overtrain. Yes, exactly. So we said, what I said, you guys just do it the normal way you do it when we start. So they did it. I said the next day, what we're gonna do is we're gonna do the same measurement, but this time after practice, we're gonna measure, but we're we're gonna have you do a brain tap session. Then we're gonna have you measure it. They net then, and there's a picture on our website where we show Kansas City Sports Training Lab, they put in 20 chairs where people use the lymphatic drainage boots at the same time where they're using brain tap. Because what we showed them was they actually 20 minutes after practice now, they leave better than they arrived for practice.

Dr Pompa

Oh my gosh, that's like that's amazing. So you should be doing it after cold bath sessions, sauna session, because all that works based on hormesis, which is stress. Your body has to adapt. If you don't adapt, the you wasted your time. You actually become worse. Okay, so but it's measuring not just that. You said it's measuring other things.

SPEAKER_00

The main thing that it's measuring for us is it's measuring your sympathetic, parasympathetic, and something called neurohormonal, which most people never look at. This is your biological system. So, what I like to tell people is think of your fight or flight system, that's your sympathetic and your parasympathetic to your rest, digestion, recovery system. The neurohormonal, think of it as your emergency backup, emergency backup system. You know, if and most people are running their life by the emergency backup system.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because their electrical system isn't working. They're locked in, and we either see high sympathetic drive or high neurohormonal activity. This means and if they have high parasympathetic, that can also mean a tired immune. What happens is it it cycles and then they then it gives out. So it's a tired system. So it should be a third, a third, a third. So we're measuring that. We're also measuring recovery rates. We can measure that. And we had a medical doctor from Florida who came to us at a chiropractic convention, his wife was a chiropractor, and she said, You got to measure my husband. He's always stressed all the time. The one that we look at should be under 100, the stress response. If it's between 145 and 45, that's the response time to get back to normal. Like in seconds. If you said it was seconds, but it's not really seconds, it's just a parameter that we use. And his was at 5,000, highest we'd ever seen. Within a year, he got it down to 2,500. But he's an emergency room physician. Oh my god. And then after four years, he came back, he was now regulating around 65. He says, I have more energy than ever before. I said, Yeah, because you're burning out.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And the the whole thing is if you have something stressful happen, how quickly can you recover? That's what we're really measuring with heart rate variability. If you that recovery, when when you hear somebody go, I always say, you know, why would I need this? I go, tell me what is the number one thing, what's the number one cue that you're about to have a heart attack besides the pain in your arm? You lucked out. You didn't have a heart attack then. You had a stroke, probably. But the number one thing you notice when you get a heart attack is you're dead. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

There's no signs. You hit the floor. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You're gone. First symptom. Yeah. So you what they did was they create a heart rate variability to show that sudden change in blood pressure, in blood oxygen levels, all these things, anything could trigger that heart, especially if it's not used to having. And they go, I can't believe that. Tim was always so nice. He never got upset. I said, Well, you should have got upset.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

If you don't get upset, at least go work out hard. Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Get it out.

SPEAKER_00

You in most people, our cells, and you you're a big one on this, so this is something you know, but they've never trained their cells. Our trains need to have periods of high stress, they need to be recovered. Most people are in a constant state of stress and they never recover.

Mold Air Water And Sleep Setup

SPEAKER_00

So, in in the I'll give the example of mold for a minute. I we see people all the time, and I don't treat these things, I send them to like some practitioner that knows how like your stuff and things like that, because we're dealing with the other part of it. And I'm a PhD, not an MD or a DC. You have you're a neuroscientist. Yes, yeah. So, what I do is I say, Look, you probably you have a mold problem. But what happened was you made the mistake when you first started getting that mold problem, you went to your doctor and said, Look, this cold won't go away. My eyes are itching, my nose is running. I said, That was your body telling you there's something wrong. You went to the doctor, he gave you some kind of prescription, it stopped the symptoms. So the brain said, You know what? They don't want to know. So it stops sending the signal. Yeah. Just and they call it nose blindness. Right. You know, if you live next to a dump, you don't smell the dump. If you live next to an airport, you don't hear the airplanes. You live next to a train yard, you don't hear the trains. Our body's doing that all the time. So we want to be vigilant. We know that inside air is 200 times worse than outside air. We know that the water that we drink. My air at home. Right. Yeah, not mine even. Like, yeah, we have one almost in every room and on every floor.

Dr Pompa

Yeah, I have ERVs, fresh air in, stale air out. We got all kinds of things going on.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because where are you sleeping? All night long can be whether it's six or eight hours, however long you're in bed. That can be, that's your biggest health opportunity. Yeah. So that room specifically should be clean air, no light. You know, uh, make sure you have good water. And I always recommend if you can have hydroated water when you when you can, not to drink it all the time, but to or take hydrogen pills. There's a lot of ways to do it in nitric oxide to get blood flow. All these things do what brain tap does, but you can't carry brain tap with you all the time. What light does for people too is it it creates vasodilation, blood flow, and circulation because the cells will create your own nitric oxide. Yeah, you know, it's doing that to create the blood flow. Once you have the blood flow, then your body does something magical. If you're not in medical school, you know that everywhere there's a blood flow, there's a lymphatic vessel. So it's building, it's not only building the supply lines in, it's building the supply lines out. And so uh when we started working with like Dr. Eamon, he does the spec scans that measure the blood flow. And we we were working with a company that did light pads, you know, because sometimes you need to put a little more energy on the equation. And this person had had a in the military, had a really bad concussion. Well, when he did the scan, there was this big mass in the middle of his brain that was where the concussion landed for him, and it was coagulated blood, couldn't get rid of it. Wow. But as soon as he started doing the light therapy and the brain tap and that, within three months it went down 35%. Now it's kind of toxic to do that scan.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So we just know that it's gonna go away. It's gonna take some time because the brain, it's not supposed to be there. But the brain is so miraculous. This neuroplasticity we're talking about, that's why it doesn't store a memory in one place. It stores it in 10 to 12 places.

Dr Pompa

Neuroplasticity. Did you read the book uh the uh The Brain That Heals Itself? Norman Dorges, right? Yeah, he's a neuroscientist, right? And yeah, that amazing book. Yeah. Um, because it really was the book that I first read to really get me to understand how the brain heals itself, how it rewires neuroplasty. Yeah. And um, you know, it's a good thing.

SPEAKER_00

I think he put that on a map because before that, it was the crazy healthcare doctors that were saying it. Now you got a surgeon, a medical guy that's doing all this stuff. And we have a lot of neurosurgeons now. I mean, we have a lot of neurological doctors because they know that the treatment actually can cause stress. So before they leave the building, they'll have them do a brain tap session because then your energy's up. Like we work with cancer too. We have a lot of cancer centers that do it, not to cure cancer, but to when they're done with their treatment, to get them the energy they need to give the rest of their day. Or if they're going to do it without it, we have one called psychotic.

Dr Pompa

You know, I think the book really you know gave some really good analogies. Like everyone understands this, right? When you when you're a kid and you learn how to ride ride a bike, that's neuroplasty. Meaning, I oh, I can't do it. Okay, do it again, son. Do it again. Do it again. Eh, eh, uh, you know, and then it's like you don't think, you know, and and by the way, we can all ride a bike to this day. Oh, unless you get massive brain neuron, and then you learn you can't ride a bike, right? If your brain's degenerating. But fact is, is that's neuroplasty. So a brain that fires rewires. Yeah. Right. So this really, when we're talking about rewiring the brain, it's it's creating that neuroplasty, it's creating the brain to fire and rewire.

SPEAKER_00

It's running neurological patterns for the brain. And then the brain can choose if he wants to continue to fire those. Yeah. Absolutely. The whole thing is that when we were kids, everyone, if you've had a child, you've seen it fall down a million ways, but then it learns how to walk right the first time. They very rarely fall down again until they start to run.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So what happens is we had the capacity as young people to omit all the negatives. We didn't put emotional value on them. You know, I love the some things you learn something from social media. Somebody sent me the other day, and I've been using it ever since like a couple of weeks ago. It's this guy, they took sixth place in a soccer tournament. You find out later in his talk, they were only six teams. He's all excited. He says, We don't lose, we learn. And I thought that's the attitude. Yeah. They're gonna get better. Yeah. Because if you think you already know, what they know is there's a saying that the more you know, the stupider you become. Yeah. Because and we saw that during 2000 and 2001, right? People believing some false science and they get up and preach about it, they think about it, and they the reality is, I believe more like Wim Hof. I mean, if you can inject poison into this guy, even though he looks like a hillbilly and he does his breathing technique and he doesn't die because the body has this magical component that can neutralize that poison and take it out of the system. And he's done it in labs. It's not just it's not just something you hear about. He's you know, so I'm in and he's to and he has his followers, the people that do it, you know, and that has to do with your nervous system knows what to do because it's the direct link. So, but we can either shut it down because we fear, or we can engage it because we take it as a challenge. Yeah, you know, I wouldn't want to take that until he trained me, you know, because I wouldn't know about that. But a lot of people would never do shoulder surgery with no anesthetic. Yeah, but my dad convinced me, and I wasn't gonna say no to my dad. He was somebody you didn't say no to. So you just did it. The anesthetic guy was there. If I needed it, I didn't need it.

Dr Pompa

Yeah, that's amazing. Yeah. Who who would think that? But that's the power of the brain. Power of the

The Brain Fitness Blueprint And Daily Rituals

Dr Pompa

brain. Your new book, uh, it's um the brain fitness uh blueprint. Yes. Yeah, what's what's it about?

SPEAKER_00

Well, the main thing is uh over the years, of course, I've written 10 other books, and they're mostly written for therapists or for practitioners and things. So when I got together at that Google exercise we did, I'm my co-author, Rashika Sagri, was the head of wellness at Google. And after I did my presentation, we got didn't did the research, we were talking about things. She goes, I want to go to work for you. I said, I can't afford you. You know, so she retired from Google and now she runs a fund. You know, she she made enough money that, but we I said, I want to teach corporate America and entrepreneurs that their biggest asset isn't their bank account. Their biggest asset is their brain and how they think. So I want to explain neuroscience in a way that anybody can understand it. So we kept it very simple. We put together a 30-day plan that's very simple. It's not it's not just about brain tap. Of course, we get free access to brain tap for people that are reading it so they can learn more about it, but it's more about what you can do, because it's our it's not what you do occasionally that's going to cause the problem. It's what you do daily that's causing the problem. So if we can get you to change your daily rituals, just little simple things like the breathing techniques, things that don't cost any money. Change your water. That's just simple. Get out and walk in sunshine and ground yourself. These are simple things. And our body will respond. Now, if you're in bad health, then we give you more, you know, we say, Hey, we have 4,000 clinics out there using brain taps. So if you want to go to somebody locally, then here's where you can go to find those people that we know believe in this.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And we we say in the book, there's a lot of other people. There's a lot of great ways to do it. I'm not saying we have the only way, you know, all roads lead to Rome. So you figure out which road you want to take, but the The reality is that you gotta do something. You can't keep doing what you've always done. And they don't understand that we're not designed to age, become senile and die. There's not one ancient culture that I've ever researched that said, you know what? We keep all the wisdom of the tribe with the youngsters. They keep them with the elders for a reason. Obviously, our lifestyle is killing us. It's like the frog that they, you know, the frog experiment in psychology 101 where they show the frog, they put it in the a pot, they bring it slowly to a boil, it's doing the backstroke. What do you mean it's hot in here? I'm gonna die. I'm just backstroking. I'm doing great. Pretty soon it dies. And you take another pan and you bring it to a boil, nobody's gonna jump in that. That's why when we look at somebody with a problem, we go, I can't believe you have this problem. Just stop doing this. Just get rid of that guy, get rid of that girl. You know, just stop eating that stuff, just stop drinking, just stop doing all.

Dr Pompa

You know, but you know, the again, I talked earlier about the major premise. Uh, you know, so many people are brainwashed into the major premise that, hey, um, I'm unlucky. It's my genes. I got diabetes because my parents did. And I still have conversations where they don't understand that toxins and food and the things they do actually are causing the diabetes. And I ask simple questions. You know, I visited uh tribes in Africa where they had zero diabetes. Okay, they had zero cancer. It's like, so why do you think that is? And and they still go, their genetics. I mean, it's like, oh my God. Right.

SPEAKER_00

It's like well, they did it, they did a great study where they, because everybody thinks it's genetics. It's not. Genetics are the baseline. I can't change my hair. It's a hard, it's a hard drive. Yeah. So, but most of you is changing. Remember, when when the when the ancients in the in would say, hey, every morning when you wake up, it's like stepping into a river. They're talking about the body. Uh, when I where I have my office, there's a noose river. I look out at it today, it looks the same as yesterday. But the reality is that's a different river. Yeah. Different blood, different water flowing through it, different different sections. So the same is true with our body. And the container changed. Yes. So your body is changing at 50 million cells per second. Your DNA is changing every 40 seconds. That's just two things out of the trillions of activities. So, in the in the process, what we have to look at is what am I, how, what am I changing into? And the path is pretty clear. I don't know anybody that's written a book yet that says Lay's potato chips is the way to become healthy. Although if you watch a Lay's potato chip commercial or Snickers Bar, you're feeling bad. Oh, you must need a Snickers bar because you're hungry or hangry, they call it. I mean, no, that Snickers bar is a short-term solution with a long-term problem.

Dr Pompa

Because your brain's addicted to sugar. Yeah. That's why. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Most people are addicted to sugar. We talk about that. We have something called the circle of vitality, because it's not one thing that's going to change your life. One thing can be a catalyst to get you to do other things. But if you can start thinking, my dad told us very young in our lives, when I was younger, one of the things that helped me was when we got in trouble after my dad got help, he started reading self-help books, like most people do, you know. And he we'd get in trouble, he'd say, you know what? Instead of sending us to a room and thinking about what we did, which is the worst thing you can do for the brain, it hardwires in, it gets those neurons wiring and firing. It's like the prison. Our prison systems are broken because they're filled with two and three and four time because they never get trained anytime. Yeah. So what he said is go over to my bookshelf. You got to grab a book over there, read a chapter, come back and tell me how you're going to apply it in your life today. Then you can go out and play. So we got really good at faking it, you know, because we got we were nine of us. So we get in trouble all the time. And so, but I remember the book called As a Man Thinketh.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And it was the smallest book. So I would use it. So I started reading that, and my dad said, You know what? You, and then he'd make us set goals and do these things. And he says, then he'd set us down and say, you know, you can't just have a goal. Faith without works is dead. What are you going to do? We're going to have a checkoff list. So now you can't go and play until you do this. And we'd always work against our own body at first, not against weights. But when we got older, of course, there was no weights then. Imagine when I went to school, we our we tried to petition at St. Phillips to get a weight room. The parents actually started a whole thing, a letter writing campaign to get us to stop because they had all this evidence about weight studying your growth.

Dr Pompa

Yeah, all this evidence.

SPEAKER_00

So I think that people are going to look at brain fitness the same way. And that's what we talk about in the book. If you don't purposely train your brain, it has nowhere else to go but backwards because of our lifestyle.

Dr Pompa

If you get it to fire, it rewires. Meaning your brain won't age. Right. You know, it's like your brain will stay young, your thoughts will stay young, your thought energy will stay young. And if your brain stays young, guess what? Your body will heal just like it was meant to heal. Right. If your brain ages, you're aging.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. We we say you can't get those those those neurons back from college. Those are gone. But the nice thing is you have neurogenesis to the day you die. That's right. So you have to look at life again as a challenge. The brain will will use neuroplasticity to shape your model of the world so you have the energy.

Dr Pompa

You know, I when I watched my father retire, I I watched everything go like this physically, uh his brain, everything, you're right. It's that that that's the point we're making.

SPEAKER_00

Well, purpose is the big thing. Purpose is a big driver. Every research, like when you say pain to purpose, yeah, and I always tell people your pain is sending you a signal. It's saying, hey, work on this, something's going on here. If you can get past that, you'll find your purpose. Because that pain was your teacher.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And it's not like it's not so much like the Marines say, you know, pain is you know the weakness leaving the body. So it's a signal to the body, it's saying, hey, because we're not meant to be in pain. We're meant to be in a state of flow and health and healing. But if the if it's if we're doing certain things and certain behaviors or we had a trauma that happened and we never dealt with it, when they say the issues are in the tissues, the tissues are more like a frequency, like a crystal. When I was in electronics school, because that's what I went to school for first. We we went to the Radio Shack, we'd get a crystal for our local radio station, we had a potato, we'd put that in there, we put a speaker on it, and it would pick up the frequency because Kenyra 14 was flowing, it was everywhere. That potato became the transducer. It went out the speakers. We're the transducer. We have crystallization in our body with our belief system, the way our brain's set up, the way foods we're eating, everything like that. It's broadcasting through the body and it comes out the speaker is the feedback. This is the feedback.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

If you're not getting the feedback that you want, start changing one of those things and find out what happens. Because one of those things you're doing every day, like we used to do, uh, even with they came out with that eat right for your type diet, which is it's not good for everybody. But what we would use it for is we're most people are o positive. Right. Just so happens that's a really good diet. Yes, I'm being negative. So what but but what happened was we'd say, if you're not losing weight, look at the list. And what are you eating the most of? Let's just get rid of that one thing. And it became magical for them because they were getting this reaction in the body that they didn't know about and they didn't realize their immune system was working against them. And it was healthy stuff, yeah. Like potatoes or bananas.

Dr Pompa

When people wear glucose monitor continuous glucose monitors, it it is a better food allergy test than now at food allergy test because there's so many inaccuracies with those tests. But this, they'll say, Oh my gosh, like my glucose spiked, you know, so high. What did you eat? Uh, an avocado, and you know, blah, blah, blah. Eat an avocado again tomorrow at two o'clock. Spiked again. It's the avocado. I thought they were healthy. They are, not for you right now.

SPEAKER_00

Right. Well, most people don't know that stress response. The reason it's showing up like that is your liver automatically, it doesn't know a physiological danger, a psychological danger. It just knows there's a danger. Yeah. It automatically dumps the glucose from your liver, which is holding the colour. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. And now, if there's no place for that sugar to go because you're not active, it starts the insulin drip. Yeah. And now you you start getting insulin resistance. Now the cells can't communicate and release their sugar content. So now you got to run out and have a little bit of sugar because most people are running around. If you could take the energy that's on most people, they'd have a year's worth of energy to do what they wanted to do. But they're not able to tap into it because those cells aren't able to dump the fat into the system. Yeah. What we did with Brain Tap, we used VO2 Max and we proved out when I was featured in People Magazine, they said, How are people losing weight? You don't have a diet. I said, It's not what they're eating, it's what's eating them. And what we showed though in science was that when you use the light sign of vibration of Brain Tap, the brainwave entrainment, you actually burn 30% more fat at the cellular level. Those cells are becoming more active. So your cells want to give up the ghost. Yeah. But if they don't have a safe signal, it's not safe for me. Yeah. Because not your brain thinks, but every cell thinks too.

Dr Pompa

Well, because a survival mode is glucose mode, right? Right? Like you said, sugar keeps getting dumped from the liver. Survival, survival. If a lion walked in the room, our liver would dump glucose. And your brain would stop thinking. Yeah, but it's not about thinking.

SPEAKER_00

It's not going, is he going to take me like, no, I'm getting the heck out of here? Yeah.

Dr Pompa

Flight, fright or f or freeze, as you said earlier, right? You know, but the point is, is that glucose dump would happen. But people are doing that all the time, right? It's like in, you know, wondering why they end up with a diagnosis of uh diabetes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, some people go, I don't know why I got diabetes. I never eat any sugar. I go, Yeah, because nobody I know has ever had a carbohydrate deficiency. Yeah. You create your own sugar. We could live without sugar. They they were doing over a hundred years ago.

Dr Pompa

Of course, that's why I when we're like we put people in ketosis, a carnivore diet, a fast, we're looking at glucose and ketones because people were like, I haven't eaten any food in three days. Why is my glucose rising? Well, number one, it's a sign we have to break the fast because your body's getting glucose from its muscle. It's like you know, it's like it's but the point is, is that you're right. I mean, you could have no carbohydrates, your body has stored glucose and has the ability to break down tissue into glucose. Cells can only use two things for energy, sugar or fat. Healthy people use both. Unhealthy people are stuck as sugar burners, stuck neurologically. But it's cool because to your point, it's like people don't think, you know, how possibly could rewiring my brain change how I use fat for energy. And but if it's changing your cell energy, of course it's changing what your cells are using for energy, and therefore how much fat you're holding on your body makes all the sense in the world.

SPEAKER_00

And like when when Williams Cousins, the Dr. Cousins, said the most underprescribed nutrient is light. So when people come out and say, get out in the morning, ground yourself, look at the light, that's resetting your circadian rhythm. Yeah. So if you're not doing that, you've got to find some way

Weight Loss As A Nervous System Output

SPEAKER_00

synthetically to do it.

Dr Pompa

Well, you by the way, that's the thing, right? You you have people that work jobs, they can't at time in the morning to walk around and bare feet. It's like, hello, you know, we we've got an answer for you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we did a big we did a big study in Seminole College with nursing practitioners because they were they were doing their rounds about getting their internship in and their stress levels. And the group that didn't use Brain Tap, their blood sugar and everything was just out of whack. Yeah. And the we published they the ones that were getting that, it didn't matter if they work night shift, day shift, because they they screw with nurses all the time and they go, This week you're gonna work nights, next week you're gonna work days, next week you're gonna work evening. And the your body wants certainty. So that's why even on vacation or even when you're on the weekends, you should be going to bed at the same time, getting up at the same time if you can't. I mean, sometimes you play too late, late or you sleep in or something. But the the brain responds best to good patterns. And the and so if you don't have a good pattern, you gotta create one.

Dr Pompa

Yeah, no, no doubt. This helps. How do they get them? How

How To Try It And Share

Dr Pompa

how just because people want the app, people want this, what do they do?

SPEAKER_00

Well, you can share with them your link. Yeah. Obviously, that's probably the best way to do it. But you'll go to braintap.com with I think it's forward slash Dr. Papa. I think we might even have a page for you that they go to. They can learn all about it there. And when they go there, they'll see it and they can actually start with a 14-day trial with just the app. But I tell people is if you if you do that, if you download that app, we have about 70% of the people then that will buy the program. Because during that first two weeks, they start sleeping better than they ever had in their life. They know now, hey, now I can look at the headset. Now you can buy it all at one time if you want to. But most people do it in steps. They go.

Dr Pompa

Do they do they get a discount? I don't care. I don't care to get credit. That's not, I mean, I mean people.

SPEAKER_00

Well, if they buy it through your link, they do get it, they do get it for ten dollars or a hundred dollars less than we do at the end. Okay, well, that that's that's worth it.

Dr Pompa

That's I I mean it when I say it. I I I rarely give links because I I don't make money that way.

SPEAKER_00

We did that because your whole group, we have all your doctors. Yeah, I do. So they get a group, they get a group discount. Right. So and we do that with a lot of the different doctors' groups that are using it. You know, we have the 4,000 clinics. We don't want people coming to us really to buy it if you're the one who shared it with them. So we, you know, we they instead of them getting so much in commission, they'd rather give away $100 to their Wow.

Dr Pompa

I saved you $100. That's really good. That would they just put in Dr. Pompa. Yeah. Um, cool. Well, I appreciate that. This is I look, I I I'm fascinated by this technology, right? I can't wait to try that. Is that integrated?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, integrated into the when you go into the app. I don't have that one connected here, but you go into the app, it's very simple. We just had it up here. So you bring up your brain tap app, and there's a little squiggly line at the bottom, and it looks like a brainwave kind of thing. Okay. Go there, click that, you click on that, and then I mine says pair a new device because I was with Kathy Smith yesterday and I got mine. So you know, we're at and I said, and she she's somebody, she's 70-something years old. Yeah, I know, 100% across the board. When I scanned her about 12 years ago when I first met with her live, I said, that's one of the best scans I've ever seen out of the box. Yeah. Because she's this is somebody that physically she's in great shape. Yeah, she worked, she earned it. Yeah. So you put in your birth date, you put in your things. So, like when you look at it, tells you nervous system capacity, like mine's at 100%, 100%. Yeah. So when you look here, you got different ones. Yeah. Now, depending upon who you are and what's going on. You lost it. Yeah. Oh, I lost it. Yeah. So you go back here, it says 100-199. These are just scans from before. I go here to view what's going on, tells me my age. Uh, so I'm really 64, but it's measure me as a 31-year-old. This was yesterday. And then 99. Today's 46. 99% travel with optimum uh performance. It shows me my energy matrix because you're a fat burner when you're bringing in less energy than you're using. Your fat store, if you're bringing you're keeping more energy in. So we show that they show that matrix. And then you can do activities and show my brainwave activity. Now, it's not if you're looking thinking, how does it get brainwave from HRV? It's not exact, it's a correlation because the heart gets that information, but it's they've been doing it so long that it's it's really accurate. We've we've done it with the wavi, and then you have one that's your brain energy, it's 100%. Oh, I can't wait to use it. And then you look here. This is that that pyramid, the what I was talking about, the different ones, uh, yellow and green are yellow is sympathetic, green is parasympathetic, red is neurohormonal. I'm almost a third, a third, a third. So is that what you want? Yeah. You want to now that very rarely happens unless you just did a session or you did something that's gonna that's what's cool.

Dr Pompa

You can actually do a session and see a difference. Yes, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

There you go.

Dr Pompa

Uh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So I did it, I did it with even uh Shigong because there's a one of our on the app you can listen to Terry Hodgkinson do his Shigong meditations, but he has actually a class on, we have a website called the Integrative Wellbeing Institute for training. And he put his training up there. So um I wanted to show him what would happen with this. So I did a cold plunge in that, and cold plunge will make your HRV go down right away. Then how fast would it go up? When I when I just do it naturally, about two hours later, I'm back to my normal baseline. But when I did Shigong, which is a really a recovery process, I actually improved. I was better than when I went in the cold plunge and it only took 20 minutes. I didn't do and then when I did brain tap, I got even better.

Dr Pompa

So there's different activities you can do. That's awesome. Yeah, because you want to know if you're recovering from your cold plunge. It might be too cold, might be too long, might be the wrong day, right? It's like, so look for patterns. All right. Thanks for being here, man. Thank you. Yeah. Absolutely. All right, you're gonna want to share the show because I tell you what, it is a device that everyone raves about, man, honestly. And it works. The science is there, but it changes lives. So share the show. Let me put people make their decision if they want to sleep better. But fact is, is that the Dr. Pompa podcast, we bring truth, man. And there's truth all over that. So uh awesome. Well, listen, thank you for being here. Stay tuned for the next Dr. Pompa podcast. See you then.
